Who

A team (of no more than three) students enrolled in The Art Institutes digital media production or interactive media design program with access to an HP workstation and a graduation date of no sooner then March 2005.

What

Create an original media-rich web page featuring HP Workstations - Engineered for Innovators.

Why

National exposure of your work and your name.

The winning team will be showcased in HP's 2004 NAB mini-theater and used, when appropriate, in HP's Business-to-Business communications for 2005 (which may include web and other marketing programs).

When

Submissions must be received by HP no later than December 17, 2004. Winners will be announced January 24, 2005.

Prizes

Each team member (maximum of three) will receive an expense-paid trip to NAB in Las Vegas, NV, to present in the HP booth, plus an HP digital camera.

The Rules

  1. The objective of the web page is to showcase your creativity. You may pick any appropriate subject matter to effectively promote HP Workstations. Include multimedia elements such as video and/or animation, audio, and an artful design layout. Provide at least two file size options - one for a high-speed connection, and one for dial-up. It can be a work in progress or an extraction of a work in progress.
  2. All students entering the competition must complete and sign the application/release allowing The Art Institutes and HP to use their likenesses, entries and other information in publicity and advertising materials.
  3. All entries must be original and contain copyright-free images and music.
  4. Winners must commit to travel to Los Vegas, NV for NAB from April 16-21, 2005 and present their web page in the HP booth. The Art Institutes will coordinate travel arrangements for the winning students.
  5. The contest is limited to students of The Art Institutes. Student status is required - all submittals require school location, an advisor or instructor name, phone number or email address for confirmation.
  6. Images must be appropriate for business use. HP reserves the right to disqualify entries that do not fall within its business conduct policy - including but not limited to sexual or violent images.
  7. The following information should appear in the footer of the page:
    • HP and The Art Institutes Student Video Competition
    • Talent
    • Music Credits
    • HP workstation used
    • Software used
  8. Submission must be on CD or DVD.
  9. Hardware requirements:
    • Work MUST be completed using HP hardware
    • Participants must include the name of all hardware and software used on the contest application/release form.
  10. Due to the number of entries, HP will not be able to return any submittals.
  11. One entry per student/team.
  12. All decisions by judges are final.
