Why certification is important:
With today's demanding deadlines driving the need for efficiency and productivity, it isn't enough just to know that your software applications will run on your workstation. You need a hardware solution that has been tested, proven, and certified by Independent Software Vendors (ISVs) to deliver peak performance for your key applications.

These ISVs define the standards and procedures to grant certification, and HP workstation engineering teams work closely with them to ensure that each HP workstation platform is designed to power professional software applications with outstanding effectiveness. Our ISVs understand our hardware better because of this close linkage, and HP can develop expertise in the ISVs' applications for the vertical markets in which we both operate.

To the HP Workstation Division, it's not enough that you simply have peace of mind, but that you work with confidence.

HP Application Certification Process

HP’s application certification process is designed to ensure that you receive the best possible experience with your chosen application on HP Workstations. Here are just a few of the activities we engage in:

  • Provide seed equipment (personal & mobile workstations, graphics cards, monitors, etc.)
  • Perform in-depth graphics driver quality testing & performance measurement
  • Facilitate partner certification, or perform the certification testing, depending on the partner
  • Track status of certification efforts
  • Broker the repair of graphics issues between the partner and graphics supplier
  • Publish certified configurations on hp.com
  • Encapsulate driver certification records in PTF database to enable graphics driver selection
