HP-UX is Hewlett-Packard's implementation of the UNIX® System V, Release 4 operating system. HP-UX is compatible with industry standards and includes features from the Fourth Berkeley Software Distribution.

With extensive localization support, HP-UX interacts with users in many different languages. Using a highly reliable, standards-based foundation, HP-UX integrates easily with today's heterogeneous technical computing environments.
