HTfUG works to only improve graphics performance of Unigraphics. There are a number of different ways to run HTfUG. The easiest and most basic way is QuickTune. On the other hand, HTfUG's full tuner modes (invoked by the HyperTune or SmartTune buttons) can be used with one of your own parts to tune the system specifically for your part and your target operations. HyperTune can take far longer to run. You are encouraged to use HTfUG's full tuner mode with your own part file for best results. See the following sections for details on all of HTfUG's features and how to use them.
Starting with version 4.1 of HTfUG one can run a limited subset of HTfUG's features from the command line. See the section Running HTfUG from Command Line.
NOTE: If you have more than one version of UG installed, it is very important that you select the UG version for which you are trying to optimize your system.
NOTE: Although HTfUG comes with a sample part, you should use your own part file or top assembly to run HTfUG's full tuner mode. The sample part supplied is there to simply demonstrate how to operate HTfUG.
