Dassault Systemes and IBM announce the support of HP-UX 11.11 (or HP-UX 11i v1.0)

This support is effective immediately for:

• CATIA Version 4 Release 2.4 Refresh 01
• CATIA Version 5 Release 8,
• ENOVIAVPM 1.5
• ENOVIA Portal Version 5 Release 8
• ENOVIA LCA Version 5 Release 8
  
  And higher release of these products.

Support of HPUX 11i requires following patches:

• PHNE_25627 ONC/NFS General Release/Performance patch
• PHSS_25278 3D Common Runtime

• PHSS_25281 PEX 5.1 Runtime
• PHSS_25284 PHIGS Run
• PHSS_25286 OpenGL 1.1 Runtime

• PHSS_25881 X/Motif 32 bit Runtime October 2001
• PHSS_26263 ld and linker tools cumulative patch 

In addition, the following PTFs are required for:

• Support of ENOVIAVPM 1.5
• ENOVIAVPM 1.5 PTF 7
• Support of Version 5 Release 8 products:
• Release 8 Service Pack 3  

Because of binary differences between HP-UX 10.20 and HP-UX 11, this support is made available in a strict runtime environment.

This means that operations or functions, that involves compiling objects in an HP-UX 11 execution environment, and linking them with objects built on HP-UX 10.20 (such as CATIA objects delivered for development purposes), are not supported. The impacted products include development of CATGEO based executables or GII functions. Such development activities based on CATIA APIs need to be carried on HP-UX 10.20 systems, then copied in HP-UX 11.11 environments for execution.

For activities such as installation of CATIA.Data Management product or ENOVIA VPM which includes compilations and link-editing of connection modules or user-exits, the above restriction also applies. Installation of such product requires to be performed across HP-UX 10.20 and HP-UX 11.11 systems, with database software installed in both environments, as well as the database accessible from both environments.
